REQUIRE VALID ID TO VOTE

Protecting the integrity of democracy is common sense.  The best way to do that is to ensure that only American citizens with the legal right to vote, vote.

There is an argument that it limits people who may not be able to afford to pay for the ID, so make it a tax write-off or a tax credit.  The average family pays over $15,000 in taxes every year – I am sure the Federal Government can spare a few dollars per citizen over 18 years old when the sanctity of democracy is on the line.

For the IDs themselves, they should have a unique number or code like a driver’s license number linked to your vote so no votes are counted twice, and no made-up numbers get counted.

Why should I subscribe and not just support my party or give to a nonprofit?

In short? Control. When you give to any other organization you give up control over where your money goes and what you actually contribute to. And let’s be honest, politicians only keep their promises sometimes. With Pillars, you support individual issues and vote along with people who believe in the same things on how to make it happen.

What happens if we don’t reach $5,000/month?

You can cancel or continue your subscription, and you and the other subscribers democratically decide what happens with the funds already gathered – whether that be a short-term lobbying effort, public awareness campaign, political donations, or whatever else you corporately decide!

Which lobbyist will we hire?

It’s up to you! (within reason).  Once we reach a minimum monthly fund threshold, Pillars will compile a list of lobbyists within this particular niche, then filter that list down based on affiliation (which side of the issue they’re on) and cost, then bring the choices to the community of subscribers to decide.

What if you can’t find a lobbyist?

That’s highly unlikely.  But in that event, there are typically three options available which you and the rest of the cause community will vote on: 1) contribute the funds to a nonprofit in the space, aiming for an agreement that they will only use those funds for this specific issue; 2) fund a public awareness campaign, or; 3) we will register and train Pillars employees on these specific issues, then go and lobby ourselves (but only with the express permission of the community)

What if we’re not successful?

So long as you’re committed, we’ll keep trying! Politics is (sometimes) a slow process – but progress is worth fighting for.
