REWARD GOING GREEN

More than 97% of active climatologists agree that humans are causing and quickening climate change.  The 10 warmest years on record have occurred since 2005.  And to top it off, we are quickly approaching the “point of no return” for numerous individual climates which, if allowed unchecked, will cause the earth to become unlivable for humans.

In light of this, drastic action needs to be taken.  Specifically, we will aim to:

  1. Reduce humanity’s carbon footprint
  2. Incentivize shifts to carbon-neutral and “green” technologies by companies, government agencies, and individuals through tax breaks and credits;
  3. Increase government funding towards R&D of “green” tech; and
  4. Make green and electric tech cheaper for individual consumers

Subscribers will take an active hand in voting on specific legislative measures to accomplish these goals.

$3.73 billion was spent on lobbying overall in 2021 alone.

Lobbying has a 201,970% return on investment, on average.

Corporations’ and Trade Associations’ efforts comprise more than 84% of lobbying at the Federal level.

2020 was the second-warmest year on record based on NAA’s temperature data.

Averaged across land and ocean, the 2020 surface temperature was 1.76° F (0.98° Celsius) warmer than the twentieth-century average of 57.0°F (13.9°C) and 2.14˚F (1.19˚C) warmer than the pre-industrial period (1880-1900).

From 1900 to 1980 a new temperature record was set on average every 13.5 years; from 1981–2019, a new record was set every 3 years.

Why should I subscribe and not just support my party or give to a nonprofit?

In short? Control. When you give to any other organization you give up control over where your money goes and what you actually contribute to. And let’s be honest, politicians only keep their promises sometimes. With Pillars, you support individual issues and vote along with people who believe in the same things on how to make it happen.

What happens if we don’t reach $5,000/month?

You can cancel or continue your subscription, and you and the other subscribers democratically decide what happens with the funds already gathered – whether that be a short-term lobbying effort, public awareness campaign, political donations, or whatever else you corporately decide!

Which lobbyist will we hire?

It’s up to you! (within reason).  Once we reach a minimum monthly fund threshold, Pillars will compile a list of lobbyists within this particular niche, then filter that list down based on affiliation (which side of the issue they’re on) and cost, then bring the choices to the community of subscribers to decide.

What if you can’t find a lobbyist?

That’s highly unlikely.  But in that event, there are typically three options available which you and the rest of the cause community will vote on: 1) contribute the funds to a nonprofit in the space, aiming for an agreement that they will only use those funds for this specific issue; 2) fund a public awareness campaign, or; 3) we will register and train Pillars employees on these specific issues, then go and lobby ourselves (but only with the express permission of the community)

What if we’re not successful?

So long as you’re committed, we’ll keep trying! Politics is (sometimes) a slow process – but progress is worth fighting for.
