15% FLAT TAX

The current Federal Tax System is inherently unfair, and is so complex with so many loopholes that only people and businesses with access to the highest-paid accountants can successfully navigate it.

We propose a simpler, more elegant, and inherently fairer system.

A flat tax refers to a tax system where a single tax rate is applied to all levels of income. This means that individuals with a low income are taxed at the same rate as individuals with a high income.

We believe that tax rate should be 15%. The richest 400 people in the United States, worth billions of dollars or more collectively, pay almost nothing in taxes. The working class keeps having to pick up the bill as tax protections expire and aren’t renewed.

We need a simpler system, with simple protections for low-income households and straightforward charitable giving incentives for high-income households.

Why should I subscribe and not just support my party or give to a nonprofit?

In short? Control. When you give to any other organization you give up control over where your money goes and what you actually contribute to. And let’s be honest, politicians only keep their promises sometimes. With Pillars, you support individual issues and vote along with people who believe in the same things on how to make it happen.

What happens if we don’t reach $5,000/month?

You can cancel or continue your subscription, and you and the other subscribers democratically decide what happens with the funds already gathered – whether that be a short-term lobbying effort, public awareness campaign, political donations, or whatever else you corporately decide!

Which lobbyist will we hire?

It’s up to you! (within reason).  Once we reach a minimum monthly fund threshold, Pillars will compile a list of lobbyists within this particular niche, then filter that list down based on affiliation (which side of the issue they’re on) and cost, then bring the choices to the community of subscribers to decide.

What if you can’t find a lobbyist?

That’s highly unlikely.  But in that event, there are typically three options available which you and the rest of the cause community will vote on: 1) contribute the funds to a nonprofit in the space, aiming for an agreement that they will only use those funds for this specific issue; 2) fund a public awareness campaign, or; 3) we will register and train Pillars employees on these specific issues, then go and lobby ourselves (but only with the express permission of the community)

What if we’re not successful?

So long as you’re committed, we’ll keep trying! Politics is (sometimes) a slow process – but progress is worth fighting for.
